Messengers are essentially those people who build up a sense of community
in our parish. They personally deliver the Welcome Word five times a year
to every household within our boundaries so that we reach out to everyone. A good messenger over time builds up genuine contact with the people visited
and keeps the parish records up-to-date by reporting the arrival of newcomers
or the departure of others. Messengers have been described as the
heartbeat, mouth and eyes of the community.
