Statement of Account 2008/2009
Serving it Up
Club News
Installation of lights on all three courts was completed in
August 2008 to allow for night time competition and social
tennis. Council approval for the lights allows for competition
tennis on two nights of the week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and
social tennis on the remaining nights, excluding Sundays.
A Code of Conduct for Members and Visitors has been developed which covers
night time court usage, car parking, standards of behavior, use of Club House
facilities and compliance with the Code. All members are required to sign a
copy of the Code acknowledging their agreement to comply with its provisions.

The synthetic grass court surface has been in use since March 2001. The
surface was vacuumed and groomed in September 2006. The
Club has arranged a retail discount with Rebel Sport for members.
This discount of 5% off all standard prices can be obtained by
advising you are a member of St Dominic’s Tennis club and quoting
our number of 29223. The club also receives a 5% rebate for all
purchases. We encourage members to support this retailer.
New
shoe tags have been mailed out to all financial members. Members are
asked to lace these tags into their shoes. This is to help ensure
financial members have priority court usage.
Coaching
Andrew Sais is the club senior coach. He may be contacted on 0409 971 622. Coaching for juniors is after school Monday, Wednesday and Friday and in the school holidays. Coaching for Ladies is Monday morning.

Competition Tennis
The club has men’s, women’s and junior teams playing in VCLTA, ERT and other local competitions. Seniors play on Tuesday nights, mid week mornings and Saturday afternoons. Juniors play on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Tennis Family Open Day ~ 1st Sunday of month
On the first Sunday of the month Family Tennis Days are held; all parishioners are welcome, members or not, for a social game. Play starts at 3.00pm and runs until dusk and a committee member will be there to help as court captain and provide tennis balls.
Club Events
The club holds an annual social function where presentations of trophies are made. This year it was be held at the Elgin Inn in Hawthorn on Friday 15th July
